Mr. Slavich, a shareholder in the firm, has a diversified environmental law practice focusing on environmental issues arising in real estate, corporate, and commercial transactions and on counseling with regard to environmental compliance issues involving a broad range of industries. In that role, he focuses on working with parties to structure deals that can get environmentally-impacted properties cleaned up and back into productive use. His environmental practice is complemented by more than a decade of prior experience practicing corporate finance and commercial law. Texas Monthly magazine named him as a Texas Super Lawyer in their inaugural listing in 2003 and in each subsequent listing. He is also listed in Best Lawyers in America, Chambers USA – Guide to America’s Leading Business Lawyers and Guide to the World’s Leading Environmental Lawyers. Mr. Slavich is rated AV by Martindale Hubbell.

He regularly lectures and writes on environmental law topics. His chapter on the Texas Voluntary Cleanup Program is included in Brownfields: A Comprehensive Guide to Redeveloping Contaminated Property (American Bar Association, 2002). Mr. Slavich received his law degree from Washington University School of Law, where he was a member of the Board of Editors of the Washington University Law Quarterly. He earned his master of business administration degree at Southern Methodist University and his undergraduate degree at Earlham College.

Mr. Slavich is a member of the City of Dallas Brownfields Forum. Mr. Slavich is admitted to the Bar in Texas. He is also a member of the Environmental Law Section (Chair, 2001) and the Real Estate Law Section of the Dallas Bar Association; the Environmental and Natural Resources Law Section, the Real Estate, Probate and Trust Law Section (Environmental Subcommittee), and the Business Law Section of the State Bar of Texas; and the Environment, Energy, and Resources Section and the Section of Business Law of the American Bar Association.
