BJ Jones, an associate of the firm, began practicing in 2002 as an assistant district attorney prosecuting criminal matters.  After trying more than 35 cases to jury, he shifted his concentration to civil defense.  Mr. Jones has successfully handled over 18 civil trials and arbitrations as either first or second chair counsel in both State and Federal District Court throughout Texas.  In addition to his courtroom experience, he has represented individuals, businesses, and governmental entities in the following areas, among others:

• Commercial Litigation
• Products liability
• Personal injury
• Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act
• Premises liability

Mr. Jones received his law degree from Texas Tech University School of Law in 2002 and a bachelor’s degree in political science, magna cum laude, from McMurry University in 1997.  He is admitted to practice before the Texas Supreme Court and the United States District Courts for the Northern, Southern, Eastern, and Western districts of Texas.  He is a member of the State Bar of Texas, Dallas Bar Association, Texas Young Lawyer’s Association, and the Texas Association of Defense Counsel.
