Ms. Flores, a shareholder in the firm, has practiced environmental law since 1987, when she received her law degree from the University of Texas School of Law. Her broad range of experience in the field includes solid and hazardous waste management issues, Clear Water Act permitting, air permitting, Superfund (CERCLA) defense and liability issues, and pollution control regulation. Ms. Flores routinely advises clients on compliance and permitting issues, and represents clients in U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and State environmental agency enforcement actions. She also has extensive experience in the environmental issues associated with real estate and other commercial transactions, construction and development. Ms. Flores was listed in Chambers USA – Guide to America’s Leading Business Lawyers (2006). Ms. Flores is rated AV by Martindale-Hubbell.

Ms. Flores received her law degree and undergraduate degree (with high honors) from the University of Texas where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa, selected as University of Texas Outstanding Student, and served as a Teaching Quizmaster. She is admitted to the Bar in Texas and also is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas, the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit.

In 1994, Ms. Flores served as Chair of the Environmental Law Section of the Dallas Bar Association. She also previously served as the Program Chair, Vice Chair, Treasurer, Secretary, and Executive Council member of that Section. She is an Executive Council member of the Environmental and Natural Resources Law Section of the State Bar of Texas and a member of the Environment, Energy, and Resources Section of the American Bar Association.

Ms. Flores has lectured extensively on storm water permitting, compliance, and enforcement applicable to manufacturing industries, the construction industries, and municipalities. Ms. Flores is the author of "On-Site Reclamation of Solvent-Containing Wastes: Classification and Permitting under RCRA," 3 Journal of Environmental Permitting 73 (Winter 1993/1994). She also co-authored "The New Clean Air Act: A Post-Amendment Introduction," 4 Environ. Lit. Comm. Newsletter (ABA Section of Litigation) 9 (1992), and has lectured on compliance with the Emergency Planning and Community Right-To-Know Act.
