MSD Webinar Available for Downloading

John Slavich, David Whitten and Greg Rogers were the featured presenters on a September 25 "webinar" regarding Municipal Setting Designations (MSDs). They explained how MSDs can lower the cost and reduce the time needed for site assessment and cleanup of Texas properties with environmental contamination. They also discussed two recent developments that insure that the inpact of MSDs will continue to expand throughout the State: the City of Houston's adoption of a procedural ordinance similar to the one in place in Dallas since 2005, and the amendment to the MSD statute that removed the requirement that a municipality have a minimum population of 20,000 in order to utilize an MSD.

Guida, Slavich & Flores, P.C. has been involved with approximately half of the MSDs certified to date by TCEQ, and those MSDs have made possible hundreds of millions of dollars in new real estate development.
